We have been awarded a grant of £17,000 from the UK Government’s Listed Places of Worship Roof Repair Fund. The grant will help meet the costs of urgent roof repairs and will ensure our Category A listed church building is watertight and safe.
The repair work will take place in October. This roof repair grant is one of 502 grants for urgent roof repairs to places of worship across the UK from a total £30 million funding package announced by the Chancellor of the Exchequer. The National Heritage Memorial Fund
(NHMF) administers the fund on behalf of the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS). We are grateful to the UK Government for funding these much-needed repairs and are looking forward to getting started.
